• Proposal No. 02-002
We 11 Environmental Site Assessment/StocktoOA February 3,2006
composited into 8 four point composite samples by the laboratory and analyzed for arsenic, lead,
mercury and organochloride pesticides using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods
5030/6010/7000 series and 8081. Location of the soil samples will be mapped on a Richmond
American Homes of California supplied site map. In addition, four discrete soil samples will be
collected from the four corners of the subject site using clean brass liners from approximately
0.5-foot bgs. The soil samples will be capped, labeled and placed into a pre-chilled ice chest for
temporary storage. The four discrete soil samples will be delivered under chain-of-custody
documentation to a State-certified hazardous waste testing laboratory and analyzed for CAM 17
metals using EPA Methods 6010/7000 series to determine background metal concentrations,
according to the DTSC.
Three (3) surficial soil samples will also be collected from the clarifier discharge and from
beneath hydrocarbon-stained soil at approximately 0.5-foot using clean brass liners. The soil
samples will be capped, labeled and placed into a pre-chilled ice chest for temporary storage.
The soil samples will be delivered under chain-of-custody documentation to a State-certified
hazardous waste testing laboratory and analyzed for TPHg, TEPHd, TEPHmo, VOCs, SVOs,
PCBs and CAM 17 metals using EPA Methods 8021, 8015 (modified), 8260, 8270, 8080 and
6010/7000 series.
TASK 3. ACM/LBP SURVEY
If requested, an asbestos containing materials (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) survey will be
conducted by an ACM/LBP State-licensed contractor. A report will be prepared for
TERRASEARCH, inc., which will be included in our technical report.
TASK 4. REPORT PREPARATION
The field findings and laboratory analytical results of the surficial and subsurface soil and
groundwater samples collected from the property during the Phase II Environmental Site
Assessment will be compiled into a report detailing field methods, results, and conclusions of the
investigation. Based on the results and conclusions of this work, recommendations for additional
work (if necessary) will also be presented in the report. The report will be signed and sealed by a
California Certified Engineering Geologist.
SCHEDULE OF PERFORMANCE
TERRASEARCH, inc. can initiate fieldwork for this Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
within two weeks of your authorization. We anticipate that fieldwork will require three days to
complete and laboratory analysis will require three days too obtain results. The technical report
will be prepared immediately upon receipt of the laboratory analytical results, and will require
two days to prepare.
TERRASEARCH, inc. Page 4
