cLanren
SmRECEIVEFM -
NOV 9 VV
ENVIRONMENTAL HEAL]"H
ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING CORPORATION PERMIT/SERVI
November 4, 1992
Ms. Margaret l agorio
San Joaquin Public Health Services
1601 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR MONITORING WELL WATER DISPOSAL
STATUS FOR THE FORD NEW HOLLAND DEALERSHIP IN STOCKTON,
CALIFORNIA
This letter is provided in response to your verbal request for information (telephone
conversation with Dr.Jill P. Slater on October 21, 1992) regarding the disposal status
of monitoring well water from the Ford .New Holland dealership located at
2150 West Charter Way in Stockton, California. Specifically, disposal information
for well purge water generated from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 in July
and September 1990 and for well development and purge water from monitoring well
MW-5 was requested.
Groundwater sample analytical results for MW-1 through MW-4 (from the
July 31, 1990 and September 12, 1990 sampling events) were below laboratory
reporting limits. Since the samples showed no detectable chemicals, well purge water
temporarily stored on-site in a 55-gallon drum was allowed to percolate into on-site
surface materials.
Development water (generated on September 17, 1991) and well purge water
(generated on September 19, 1991 and on October 11, 1991) from MW-5 was
temporarily stored on-site in a 55-gallon drum. Well purge water (generated on
September 19, 1991) from MW-1 through MW-4 was temporarily stored on-site in
a separate 55-gallon drum. The purge water from MW-1 through MW-4 contained
no detectable concentrations of chemicals. The well development and purge water
from MW-5 showed 1.0 and 1.2 parts per billion (ppb) of.benzene.
