After construction, all new wells and
monitoring points will be included in the monitoring program. Cone penetrometer technology
may be used to replace permanent gas/vapor wells where applicable. Gases and vapors shall be
monitored as follows:
Table 3., Soil Gas/Vapor Monitoring
Startup' Regular**
Bioremediation Type of Sampling Sampling Sample Analytical
Parameters Units Sample Frequency Freauencv Location Method
Bararnetrie Pressure fnmilg Weekly T-wieehlanthiy All inaettlated wells Field Mete!
Oxygen Gas (OJ % In-situ Weekly Twice Monthly All inoculated wells Field Meter
Monthly Quarterly Uninoculated wells
Carbon Dioxide (CO.) % In-situ Weekly Twice Monthly All inoculated wells Field Meter
Monthly Quarterly Uninoculated wells
Methane (CH,) % in-situ Quarterly Quarterly MW3, MW4, MW14 Field Meter
Nitrogen Gas (No % In-situ Quarterly Quarterly MW3, MW4, MW14 Field Meter
Hydrocarbon Vapors mg/cm' In-situ Weekly Twice Monthly All inoculated wells Field Meter
Monthly Quarterly Uninoculated wells
* Startup monitoring consists of six months following full scale inoculation.
** Regular monitoring begins immediately following the end of the six month startup period.
After several rounds of monitoring have been reviewed, the sampling schedule may be
modified, at the discretion of the Board.
SOIL SAMPLING
Quarterly, one soil boring will be drilled near MW8, MWI1, and EWI and three soil borings will
be drilled in the concentrated inoculated area, which may also be described as the area •
bounded by the air blower system (See attached Figure 1).
