Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
SUBJECT: Draft Remedial Plan for 16 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi
The City of Lodi staff has reviewed the draft final remedial plan
for 16 South Cherokee Lane in Lodi. Overall we find the draft
plan acceptable. The following comments will serve to clarify
the City of Lodi' s position on the matter of discharging of
extracted groundwater:
1. Has reinjection of treated groundwater been evaluated?
2 . Untreated extracted groundwater would not be allowed to
be discharged to Lodi' s storm or sanitary sewer
systems.
3 . Lodi would recommend that treated groundwater be
discharged to the storm system rather than the sanitary
system. The storm system would be a less costly
alternative and the sanitary system in the area is
already overloaded.
If you have any comments or questions regarding this matter
please contact me at ( 209) 333-6740/
Fran E.
