r <br /> SITE INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> GEWFKE LODI PROPERTY <br /> Brown and Caldwell (BC) was retained by Geweke Properties to <br /> condur•c additional rite investigation work on their property in Lodi, <br /> Calif•)rnia. The Geweke property is located at 16 South Cherokee <br /> Zane. This report is a supplement to two previous site investigation <br /> reports BC completed on this property, including one dated March 261 <br /> 1986, and one dated April 15, 1986. The purpose of this supplement <br /> is to present additional information that has become available and <br /> pertains to the Geweke site and to make recommendations for follow-on <br /> work. <br /> Background Data <br /> The additional information gathered for this report is summarized <br /> below: <br /> 1. The situation at the Beacon station is similar to the Geweke <br /> site. Soil samples from three boreholes at the rite <br /> apparently revealed contamination resulting '•from diesel fuel <br /> spills and not from Lost gasoline product. However, ground- <br /> water samples from two wells located downgradient of the" <br /> Beacon tank excavations revealed contamination due to <br /> gasoline sources but not diesel fuel. Samples ' from a <br /> �J <br /> monitoring well located upgr.adient of the Beacon site-showed <br /> no contamination.- Beacon's consultant concluded that the <br /> groundwater contamination may have resulted from an. old <br /> gasoline 4pill at the Beacon site or from lost product : t the <br /> service station located upgradient of the Beacon site. The <br /> groundwater flow direction and .gradient calculated from watez <br /> levels measured in monitoring wells at the Beacon . site is <br /> generally the same as those at the Geweke site.
