HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are own or suspected to be on <br /> site. <br /> Substances involved Concentrations <br /> Gasoline unknown <br /> BTE&X unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids <br /> with strong aromatic petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are <br /> flammable and have low solubility in water. Exposure to these <br /> materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild <br /> eye, nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect <br /> on the central nervous system. Symptoms of exposure at these <br /> concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, and <br /> loss of coordination. Certain components of gasoline (BTE&X etc. ) <br /> are known or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site: typical work <br /> related to facility. Noise falling rods flying hammer snapped <br /> cables, etc. on the drill rig: automobile traffic <br /> E.
