Chronology - 6 - 17 February 1993
Geweke .
28 Jan 92 A quarterly report addendum was submitted by Sun Tech.
17 Mar 92 In a telephone conversation between County and Board staffs,
the FRP was discussed. They proposed to use MW4 as an
extraction well , however, MW4 has gone dry during the summer.
They did not propose additional aquifer testing but they were
previously told it would be necessary if they intended to
reinject treated ground water.
31 Mar 92 In a letter to County staff, Board staff reported that the FRP
was incomplete and an addendum should be submitted by 30 April
1992. The FRP lacked maps showing the extent of soil
contamination, a discussion of the soil vapor extraction
system, a proposal to use an extraction well that contains
water year round, the location of the reinjection well , and
the results of additional aquifer tests. Failure to comply
may result in fines.
14 Apr 92 Quarterly report submitted by Sun Tech. It did not contain
results for all constituents listed in the MRP.
16 Apr 92 In a letter to Geweke, the Office of Chief Counsel advised
that the petition to rescind the C&A had been dismissed:
29 May 92 In a letter to Geweke, County staff repeated Board staff
comments and required that the missing information be
submitted by 30 June 1992.
19 Jun 92 Letter from Geweke to County was submitted to County but not
to the Board.
30 Jul 92 In a letter to County staff, Geweke's consultant, GAS,
responded to the County letter. Several of the responses are
inadequate. They await County approval before they proceed
with the definition of soil contamination and submittal of a
Report of Waste Discharge.
20 Jul 92 Quarterly report submitted by Sun Tech did not contain all
required analyses.
15 Oct 92 Quarterly report submitted by Sun Tech did not contain all
required analyses.
1
19 Jan 93 Quarterly report submitted by Sun Tech did not contain all
required analyses.
• 22 Jan 93 Letter from Board staff to Geweke stating that they are not in
compliance with C&A, the FRP was incomplete, and requesting
contact by 3 February 1993 to set up meeting.
.
