CLEANUP AND ABATEMENT ORDER NO. 93-XXX - 3 -- <br /> GEWEKE LAND DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Cleanup and Abatement Order No. 90-702 is rescinded and <br /> pursuant to Section 13267 and 13304 of the California Water Code, the <br /> Dischargers shall : <br /> 1 . Cleanup and abate, forthwith, the effects of petroleum products discharged <br /> to soils and ground water at this location. "Forthwith" means as soon as <br /> is reasonably possible. <br /> 2. Reports and workplans are to follow the formats in the Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations and its Appendix A, which are made a part of this Order. . <br /> Compliance with I above shall include, but not be limited to, the <br /> following measures: <br /> a. By the 20th of the month following the end of each calendar quarter, <br /> submit quarterly reports which provide information on the i <br /> investigation and cleanup to date and results of ground water <br /> sampled and analyzed as specified in Monitoring and Reporting <br /> Program No. 93--XXX (attached) . <br /> b. By 15 March 1993, submit a work plan to completely define the <br />• lateral and vertical extent of soil contamination and to install a Q <br /> minimum of one monitoring well north and upgradient of MW6 to define <br /> the lateral upgradient extent of ground water contamination. By <br /> 1 April 1993, implement the work plan. <br /> 3 b <br /> C. By 30 May 1993, submit a Final Remediation Plan (FRP) acceptable to <br /> the Board, including maps depicting the lateral and vertical extent <br /> of soil and ground water contamination (lines of zero contamination) <br /> and discussions and costs for the remediation options listed in <br /> Appendix A of the Tri-Regional Recommendations for soil and ground <br /> water. <br /> 3. Cleanup and abatement, in compliance with I and 2 above, shall include, <br /> but not be limited to the following measures: <br /> a. Within 30 days of written approval by the Board of the FRP (but no <br /> later than 15 Ju+y 1993) , initiate remediation system[s] startup <br /> activities. cwt <br /> b. By 15 August 1993 begin operation of the remediation system[s] in <br /> accordance with the approved FRP to remediate soil and ground water <br /> pollution. <br /> 0%) { j C. Upon startup of the remediation system[s], operate the remediation <br /> system[s] continuously, except for periodic and required <br /> maintenance. Any interruptions in the operation of the remediation <br /> systems, other than maintenance, without prior approval from the <br /> Board is a violation of this Order. <br />
