Prior to the sampling of a monitoring well, a depth to water
measurement was taken. Each well was purged of a minimum of
three well volumes and temperature, conductivity and PH
parameters were monitored until stabilized (Appendix B) .
Purge water from the sampling activities was stored in metal
' drums on site for later disposal. The wells were allowed to
recover to within 90% of their original water levels prior to
sampling. The wells were then sampled with a Teflon bailer.
I The samples were carefully poured from a Teflon bailer or a
sanitary disposable bailer, into clean glass VOA'S provided
by the laboratory. Care was taken to ensure that no air
space existed in the vials, by inverting to check for
bubbles.
The samples were immediately placed in iced storage for
delivery to Sherwood Labs Corporation, 8071 N. Lander Avenue,
Hilmar, California. The samples were under no circumstances
opened by anyone other than qualified laboratory personnel.
I The samples were analyzed within the sample life-span limits
as set forth by EPA guidelines for the specific tests to be
run.
The groundwater samples were analyzed by a California certified
laboratory Sherwood Labs Corp. ) using EPA method 602 for BTEX
analysis, with a detection limit of 0. 3 ug/Kg, and EPA method
5030/Mod. 8015 for TPH-Gasoline analysis, with a detection limit
of 50 .0 ug/L.
5.0 REMARKS AND SIGNATURES
This Addendum to the Quarterly Monitoring Report has been
prepared using standard industry practices and was written in
strict accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines.
SUN TECH is not responsible for undisclosed site information or
conditions, or the quality of work performed or manifested by
other firms, that is included in or attached to this report.
If you have any questions regarding the information provided,
you may contact our Modesto office at (209) 576-7182.
I
STE Project No. 4001
Page 7
