CLEAN ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERS, INC.
WATER PUMP WITH ELECTRO--ENEUMATIC INTERFACE
When a high volume of water must be removed to create a cone of depression, it
' can become cost effective to use an electric submersible pump. Such a pump can
be added to an SOS spill recovery system by using the SOS Electro-Pneumatic
Interface. The module is suitable to be used in Division 1, Class 11
' locations. It connects to an SOS pneumatic recovery system via simple quick
disconnects.
There are no electric sensors down the well. The water level in the well is
monitored by the pneumatic bubbler system,. When the water level rises above the
bubbler hole in the SOS skimmer, the Electro-Pneumatic Interface turns on the
' electric pump. When the water is drawn down, the pump is shut down. The "On
Level" and "Off Level" can be adjusted to accommodate removal rates. Such an
adjustment allows for longer "on" times for the pump and fewer starts. This
prolongs the life of the electric pump.
The electric pump supplied by CEE is stainless steel and available from 113 to 5
horsepower. Bonded teflon seals are used in the pumps which reduce start-up and
operating current. This saves in operating costs and means longer pump
life. They will operate in wells as small as 4-inch inside diameter.
For added safety, the electrical wires are encased in a polyurethane
tube to prevent nicking during handling or installation.
1
I
I
I .
M
