18 July 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0109 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> 37 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and results of the sampling and analysis Conclusions,applicable recommendations,maps <br /> and cross-sections will be Included in the report The report will be in a format acceptable to the <br /> CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for the advancement of soil borings, soil sampling, ground water <br /> sampling, monitoring well installation and development and equipment decontamination <br /> 41 SOIL SAMPLING <br /> • The proposed monitoring well boring will be advanced using hollow-stem auger drilling techniques <br /> Relatively undisturbed soil samples will be collected continuously, beginning at 50 feet bsg at the <br /> off-site well cluster and 70 feet bsg at the on-site well cluster, and extending to the total depth of the <br /> deepest boring in each well cluster utilizing a five-foot core barrel Soils encountered in the borings <br /> will be field screened for the presence of organic vapors using an organic vapor meter(OVM) and <br /> visually classified by an AGE geologist in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System <br /> (USCS) <br /> Soil cuttings will be containerized in properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums <br /> and stored on-site Disposal alternatives will be evaluated at a later date based on laboratory results <br /> of the soil samples <br /> 4 2 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION <br /> Following completion of drilling the borings, 2-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC 0 020-inch slotted <br /> well screens and casings will be Installed For the well cluster in the area of well MW-8 <br /> • One boring with a 5-foot well screen installed from 75 feet bsg to 80 feet bsg, and <br /> • One boring with a 5-foot well screen installed from 112 feet bsg to 117 feet bsg <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br />
