The rig was equipped with eight-inch and ten-inch <br /> diameter continuous flight hollow stem augers. Auger flights <br /> were steam cleaned prior to use to minimize the possibility of <br /> down hole or cross contamination. The drilling was performed <br /> under the observation of a Applied GeoSystems geologist on <br /> October 9, 10, and 13 , 1986. The earth materials in the borings <br /> were logged as drilled.
