Project 00760.02 11 February 1991 <br /> Y - <br /> accumulator/water knockout device. - The combustor unit and <br /> accumulator/water knockout-device were placed: within a protective fenced <br /> enclosure. The combustor unit ' was designed to 'destroy by combustion - <br /> . hydrocarbon gases in the extracted soil gases' beforegases are discharged <br /> into the atmosphere. After permitting through the San Joaquin County Air <br /> Pollution- Control -District, the-system equipment was delivered' to. the <br /> site, installed on,: an equipment pad,-.and connected .to the extraction <br /> _system already in place. A propane .'trap wagon that served as a <br /> supplemental fuel source ,was kept in the ;enclosure with the system <br /> equipment.- A site plan of,,.the extraction system and: system equipment is <br /> presented in Figure 1._ <br /> OPERATION," MAINTENANCE. AND "MONITORING <br /> The combustor unit -'was designed to operate�cont.inuously 24 hours a day. <br /> EVAX personnel ; periodically monitored -the vapor extraction and <br /> rremediation . system.
