I; 4TH Quarter SVES Report,Beacon #502 Lodi
23 October, 1992 Monitoring
The system was down and operated for 5 days since 22 September 1992. An efficiency
test was conducted for confirmation of system performance. Laboratory results found
destruction efficiencies to be in excess of 96 percent. The results from this test were
submitted to Mark Schonhoff of the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control
District (SJVUAPCD). Wells were not monitored during visit.
Il 02 November 1992 Servicing.
The system was down, but operated 6 days since 23 October 1992.
03 November, 1992 Monitoring.
The system operated continuously since 02 November 1992. Monitoring was performed
on system influent, effluent and extraction wells. Vapor Wells VW-8 and VW-9 had
concentrations of 550 ppm. An air bag was retrieved from VW-8 to verify field readings .
The results of the analysis was 423 ppm, which confirmed field screening. No adjustments
were made to the wells.
05 November 1992 Serving
The system was down and had operated 1 day since 03 November 1992. The system was
restated.
4
16 November, 1992 Monitoring.
The system operated continuously since 05 November 1992. Monitoring was performed
on influent, effluent and wells. Testing was conducted to determine optimum extraction
scenario for wells VW-8 and VW-9. If both wells were open system vacuum was 6.0
inches of mercury and the TVH removal rate was 10 pounds per day. When one well was
open the system vacuum was 9.0 inches of mercury and TVH removal rates were 5 and 8
pounds per day for wells VW-8 and VW-9, respectively. Conclusions from the test were
to keep both wells open, because TVH removal rates were greatest and equipment stress
would be reduced. Monitoring was performed on system influent and extraction wells.
t16 November 1992 Monitoring
The system operated continuously since 06 November 1992. Monitoring was conducted
on influent, effluent and wells. No adjustments were made on system or wells.
3
r
