All down-hole and sampling equipment will be decontaminated to prevent the cross- <br /> contamination or masking of possible soil and/or groundwater contamination. <br /> I <br /> Sample quality assurance includes: (1)the use of a California state-certified laboratory; (2) <br /> proper sample handling and transport methods; and (3) acceptable analytical methods and <br /> detection limits. Sample quality assurance checks wil I include the use of sample blanks, <br /> duplicates and chain-of-custody records. <br /> Project Schedule of Operations -A scheduling plan w lich will show the anticipated elements of <br /> work and their duration and completion times will be repared. <br /> Soil Boring, Groundwater Monitoring Well and Othet Required Permits - The permits required <br /> to be issued for the various elements of the project wil 1 be identified, submitted to appropriate <br /> agencies and approved prior to any work being initiated. Copies of these permits will be kept for <br /> documentation in the technical reports. <br /> Workplan Amendments - Information that is discover d during the Task 1 effort may require <br /> modification of the initial workplan. The project consultant and/or contractor will prepare any <br /> amendments to the workplan that are found to be necessary during the course of the investigation <br /> and resubmit the document to PHSEHD for review and approval. <br /> Task 2: Site Soil and Groundwater C iaracterization Investigation <br /> A site soil characterization investigation of 200 South Cherokee Lane property will be <br /> conducted using soil borings and/or geoprobe borings that will be advanced to the groundwater <br /> k <br /> surface or approximately 50 feet below grade in local ions around the former tank location. <br /> 08420010.001 6 <br />
