CHRONOLOGY <br /> ARCO STATION #6100 <br /> 25775 PATTERSON PASS, TRACY <br /> 10/07/86 4 USTs failed precision tests. <br /> 02/04/87 Waste oil UST #6 removal plan approved by PHS/EHD. <br /> 04/22/87 PHS/EHD received a complaint that a UST had been removed and was <br /> leaking on the pavement and into the adjacent pasture. PHS/EHD staff <br /> confirmed that the waste oil UST had been removed without inspection. <br /> Soil generated during the removal appeared contaminated. <br /> 05/14/87 Soil samples were collected from the bottom and sidewalls of the waste oil <br /> UST excavation. <br /> 05/29/87 Results from the waste oil tank excavation were non-detect for <br /> contaminants. <br /> 06/23/87 Soil samples were collected from the area where oil had spilled next to the <br /> pavement and from the soil stockpile. <br /> 07/24/87 Results from the stockpiled soil were non-detect. The spill area soil had <br /> 4875 ppm motor oil. <br /> 10/08/87 Received report stating that 3 cubic yards of soil had been excavated from <br /> the spill area and 3 soil samples had been collected at 2 to 3 feet below <br /> surface grade in the excavated area. The soil previously stockpiled from <br /> the waste oil UST removal was used to fill the excavated area. Highest <br /> result from sampling spill area excavation was 260 ppm motor oil. Receipt <br /> from Casmalia Resouces for 2 yards of waste oil contaminated soil <br /> received 10/12/87 (soil from spill area excavation). <br /> 03/20/88 USTs passed precision test. <br /> 01/03/90 Piping replacement. <br /> 03/03/90 4 USTS failed precision test and were uncovered. <br /> 04/11/90 Repair/replacement of vapor and vent lines. <br /> 5/18/90 Received work plan for environmental investigation prior to tank <br /> replacement. <br /> 06/08/90 Completion of 5 soil borings. <br />
