In a letter dated June 15,
1999, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division,
requested an addendum to the October 12, 1998 Hydrocarbon Mass Evaluation Report
that included reevaluation of the mass estimate, sampling the on-site water supply well,
and reviewing prior soil analytical chromatograms to evaluate the presence of MTBE.
During the conversation, we requested an extension to the August 16, 1999 deadline. The
deadline was extended to September 17, 1999. The on-site water supply well will be
sampled on Thursday, August 19, 1999 as requested. The sample will be analyzed for
petroleum hydrocarbons, including oxygenates, as requested in the SJCPHS letter of June
15, 1999.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
Pinnacle
oel Coffman
Mark Capps, R.G.
Project Geologist Senior Project Supervisor
cc: Paul Supple, ARCO Products Company
CP:\E:\ARCO\6100\CORRES\NIL081799.DOC-98Usg:1
797615
