ARCO Station No. 6100 <br /> Remediation Piping <br /> C. Soil removed during the trenching operation will be stockpiled on site on visquene® and <br /> covered with visquene@. Delta will periodically be screening soil for hydrocarbon <br /> impact and may require that soil be segregated. The disposal of all soil will be the <br /> responsibility of ARCO. <br /> D. Contractor is to install one 2-inch diameter electrical conduit that will be for future use to <br /> supply electrical power to an onsite remediation system. This will be a shared trench for <br /> a portion of the total run of piping. This conduit shall be below all other piping in the <br /> shared trench and will be a minimum of 36 inches below ground surface. The Contractor <br /> is to install a pull string in this conduit. <br /> E. Contractor will saw cut all trench lines to provide a clean edge for asphalt or concrete <br /> installation. All asphalt and concrete removed for the installation of piping and vaults <br /> will be removed from the site by the contractor. <br /> F. Contractor will remove approximately a 25 foot by 150 foot section of asphalt from the <br /> right-of-way for Patterson Pass Road (Figure 1), which is presently not being maintained <br /> by San Joaquin County. The contractor will be responsible for replacing this asphalt with <br /> 4 inches of asphalt after the installation of piping and well boxes. This area of asphalt <br /> should be set to existing grade and free of depressions to eliminate ponding. <br /> G. Contractor may encounter onsite utilities such as water lines, telephone, septic, and <br /> electrical piping during the excavation. It is the responsibility of the contractor to locate <br /> these utilities. Any damage to these utilities will be the sole responsibility of the <br /> contractor. , <br /> H. The contractor will install concrete vaults on monitoring wells and vapor wells as <br /> denoted on the Figures 1, 2, and 3. The contractor is responsible for obtaining the <br /> necessary vaults. Based on the timing of this bid request, the contractor should assume <br /> the cost of the 24-inch concrete vaults to be $800.00. ARCO will accept a comparable <br /> vault that can withstand the heavy truck traffic encountered in the right-of-way area. <br /> I. All construction materials provided by the contractor shall be warranted for a period of <br /> one year from the date of acceptance by ARCO. <br /> J: All work shall comply with all applicable codes and regulations <br /> K.
