Subsurface Environmental Investigation November 29, 1988 <br /> ARCO Service Station 760, . Lodi, California AGS 38048-1 <br /> interpretation of these results and recommendations for future <br /> work. <br /> cpyBACKGROUND <br /> o <br /> The former underground waste-oil storage tank was located east of <br /> the station building. Information provided by personnel of ARCO <br /> indicated that the 550-gallon tank was used to store waste oil. <br /> The approximate location of the tank cavity is shown on the <br /> Generalized Site Plan (Plate P-2) . Tom Mehringer Construction of <br /> Red Bluff, California, conducted the tank removal operations, and <br /> was responsible for permit acquisition and notification of the <br /> appropriate authorities. Mr. Harlin Knoll of the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District, Stockton, California, was present during <br /> removal of the tank and sampling operations. <br /> FIELD WORK AND METHODS <br /> An Applied GeoSystems geologist was present at the site on <br /> September 7 , 1988 , to collect one soil sample from beneath the <br /> base of the tank.
