California <br /> For ARCO Products Company <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> ® At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), Applied GeoSystems is submitting <br /> the results of two subsurface environmental investigations and a work plan to excavate the <br /> existing and proposed gasoline tank cavities at ARCO Service Station No.760 at 225 South <br /> Cherokee Lane in Lodi, California. The purpose of the May 1990 investigation was to <br /> evaluate soil for waste oil near the former waste-oil tank cavity. The purpose of the <br /> October 1990 investigation was to evaluate soil for possible hydrocarbons before the removal <br /> of underground storage tanks near the existing gasoline tank cavity. <br /> We understand that the San Joaquin Public Health Services(SJPHS)requires an approved <br /> work plan to excavate soil greater than 4 feet below the existing tanks.
