This document describes our methods, results, and <br /> conclusion. associated with the initial investigation and the proposed work associated with <br /> ® the removal of the underground storage tanks arld possible additional excavation. The tank <br /> replacement project will not begin until this work plan is approved by the SJPHS. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND ADJACENT PROPERTY <br /> ARCO Service Station No.760 is on the northeast cornet of South Cherokee Lane and Lodi <br /> Avenue in Lodi, California, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate P-1). The property <br /> Is adjacent to the site at the intersection is commercial and residential. The approximate <br /> locations of present site features are shown on the Generalized Site PIan (Plate P-2). <br /> According to information supplied by ARCO, there are two 8,000-gallon gasoline-s,orage <br /> tanks and one 6,OOa-gallon gasoline-storage tank (labeled T-1 through T-3,respectively, on <br /> i� <br /> Plate P-2) at the site. Tank T-1 stores super unleaded gasoline, tank T-2 stores leaded <br /> gasoline, and tank T-3 stores unleaded gasoline. <br /> ® REGIONAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> , <br /> The site is underlain by the Modesto Formation, which is composed of alluvial sediments <br /> ® that range in size from gravel to sand and silt (Marchand and Allwardt, 1977).
