FLYGT PSS RESIDENTIAL GRINDER PUMP PACKAGE STATION <br /> PSS PCM3068 Specification <br /> GRINDER PUMP STATION FOR LOW PRESSURE SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM <br /> Part 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.01 General Description of System <br /> Furnish-OL new complete factory-built and tested submersible Grinder Pump <br /> Station(s), each consisting of a FLYGT MF3068.175 grinder pump 1.7hp, 480volt, <br /> 3 __phase, pump. Components of the station package shall also include check and anti- <br /> siphon valve, NEMA 4X poly carbonate control panel, level control system, all necessary <br /> wiring, flexible discharge hose, shut off valve and basin with a 1 1/" FIPT stainless steel <br /> discharge connection, _flinch grommet for inlet pipe connection. <br /> Grinder pumps shall be Progressive Cavity type pumps and shall be specifically <br /> designed and intended for service in pressure sewer systems. All the equipment <br /> specified herein is intended to be engineered equipment for macerating and pumping all <br /> material in normal domestic wastewater. For ease of serviceability, all pumps supplied <br /> on the project shall be of like horsepower and by one manufacturer. <br /> 1.02 Submittals <br /> After the notice to proceed, the manufacturer shall provide 4 sets of complete shop <br /> drawings including dimensional and motor data, as well as materials of construction. <br /> Engineer will review submittals and return two sets with approval or requested <br /> modifications. After receiving accepted shop drawings manufacturer shall proceed with <br /> fabrication immediately. <br /> 1.03 Manufacturer <br /> All of the equipment furnished herein shall be the product of a manufacturer <br /> experienced in the design and manufacture of submersible grinder pumps designed for <br /> use in low pressure sewer collection systems, and have experiencing producing grinder <br /> pumps for a minimum of 30 years. All parts shall be properly stamped for <br /> identification and location as shown in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals <br /> furnished. Clear identification giving the name of the manufacturer and all other <br /> pertinent data shall be attached to each packaged pump station. The Manufacturer of <br /> the Grinder Pump shall be Flygt, or pre-approved equal. <br /> 1.04 Alternate Equipment <br /> Any pump manufacturer not specified,but wishing to be pre-approved as an acceptable <br /> supplier shall submit a complete hydraulic analysis based on the design detailed in the <br /> drawings 30 days prior to bid date. All manufacturers must have been in the business <br /> of manufacturing fully submersible grinder pumps for a minimum of 10 years. <br /> Manufacturer must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Engineer that the proposed <br /> 1 <br />
