The reinforcing material shall be of <br /> a commercial grade of glass fiber having a coupling agent which will provide a suitable <br /> bond between the glass reinforcement and the fiber. The laminate shall consist of an <br /> inner surface, an interior layer and an exterior layer of laminate body. The inner surface <br /> shall be free of cracks and crazing with a smooth finish. This may be a gel coat surface <br /> or reinforced with glass surface level. <br /> The Tank wall must be designed to withstand wall collapse based on the assumption <br /> that saturated soil exerts 120 pounds per cubic foot. The tank wall must be designed to <br /> withstand or exceed two times the actual imposed loading of any depth of basin. The <br /> depth of bury should be specified on all plans so wall thickness can be calculated and <br /> guaranteed by manufacturer. <br /> The tank bottom must be constructed suitable for the service designated by project <br /> engineer. Under total submerged conditions the center deflection of any empty tank <br /> bottom must be less than 3/8 inch as not to interfere with bottom pump mounting. <br /> Tanks deeper than 10 feet should have a steel reinforcement insert of the tank bottom <br /> The Appearance of the tank must be as free as commercially practicable from visual <br /> defects such as foreign inclusions, dry spots, air bubbles, pinholes, dimples and <br /> delamination's. <br /> —'SiaRalex tank, Model SFG2484P2.
