Dames and Moore installed three- monitoring wells on <br /> December 12, 1986 . Subsequent water sampling showed minor <br /> contamination ranging from 200 to 400 ppb benzene . The report <br /> for Phase I investigation was submitted on February 3, 1987 . <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc. has conducted Phase II of the <br /> subsurface investigation. This work consisted of installing <br /> five monitoring wells near the boundary of the property and <br /> offsite near the northeast corner of the property. The report <br /> with recommendations was received on June 10, 1987 and was <br /> submitted on June 12, 1987 . <br /> Groundwater Technology recommended that an additional off site <br /> monitoring well be installed across Eleventh Street and up- <br /> gradient from the Kayo site . This well was installed on July 9, <br /> 1987. Significant contamination was found off-site.
