G
M & ASSOCIATES
S - ,.k N 5 1937
ENVIRONMENTAL t ENGINEERING SERVICES
11281 RICHMOND AVE.
BUILDING 1, SUITE IMB
HOUSTON, TEXAS 77082-2617
December 28, 1986
Mr. .Jim Thompson
Kayo Oil Company
900 South Cherokee Lane
Lodi, California 95240
Reference: Proposal for Investigation of
Groundwater Quality at the
Cherokee Lodi Service Station
Dear Mr. Thompson:
GMS & Associates is pleased to submit our proposal to
conduct a site assessment for the above referenced facility. As
discussed in our letter of December 10, 1986, CMS believes that
the information developed by previous consultants is inconsistent
and is not adequate to complete a groundwater assessment and
remedial action plan for this station. As such, we have
estimated the costs for developing and conducting a site
investigation to determine the geohydrological information to
complete a plan of action.
This proposal is broken into four tasks which are necessary to
complete the nine items recommended in our December 10, 1986
letter. Those items were as follows:
1) Conduct electric log on a minimum of four existing wells.
2) Develop Isopacks and Cross-sections.
3) Determine which existing wells should be abandoned and
plugged.
4) Select locations for new wells.
5) Survey New and existing Wells.
6) Determine gradients.
7) Sample new wells and existing wells for representative water
quality.
8) Develop Groundwater Quality Assessment and Remedial Action
Program
9) Meet with the California agencies for approval.
( 713 ) 498 - 3302
