APPENDIX-BRISKE BASED CORRECTW ACTION TIER I AND TIER 2 ANALYSIS SITE CLOSURE EVALUATION REPORT Former Beacon Station No 695 900 South Cherokee Lane Lodi, California Delta Project No D093-915 Page 6 During the removal of the known tanks, eleven previously unknown tanks were discovered (Figure 3) Confirmation soil samples were also collected and analyzed from beneath these tanks Analytical results are presented in Tables 4 and 5 Figures 5 through 8 show the sampling locations and the site features The final approximate extent of soil excavation, site features, and former tank locations are shown in Figure 9 A summary of the available analytical results from the installation of the monitoring wells is presented m Table 6 These results are from the drilling activities performed by Delta between February and March 1994 Figures 10 and 11 show the approximate lateral extent of vadose soil containing petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel and gasoline prior to remediation Figure 12 presents the traces of cross-sections j iAW,B-B', and C-C' The cross-sections on Figures 13 through 16 show the approximate vertical extent of vadose soul containing petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel prior to remediation In March 1996, six confirmation soil borings (SB-1 through SB-6) were installed to assess the affects of on-site remediation Soil samples collected from the borings were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (T H) as gasoline and diesel and BTEX The analytical results are presented in Table 7 and the remediation confirmation soil boring locations are presented in Figure 2 Utilizing this data, a risk based assessment was performed on the affects of the remediation performed as of March 1996 This discussion is presented in Section 5 of this report 3.2 Distribution of Petroleum Hydrocarbons m Ground Water Ground water was initially sampled at the site in April 1985, sampling has continued through the second quarter of 1996 A cumulative presentation of the available ground water sampling data is presented in Table 8 Free product was reported in monitoring wells MW-8, MW-10 and MW-17, from 1988 to 1993 The historical product measurement data and the dates measured are presented in Table 1 RPT001 915
