APPENDIX BRISK BASED CORRECTIVE ACTION TIER 1 AND TIER 2 ANALYSIS
SITE CLOSURE EVALUATION REPORT
Former Beacon Station No 695
900 South Cherokee Ione
Lodi, Califonua
Delta Project No D093-915
Page 5
and if any wells were to be added they would be in the newly developing areas of the City or north
towards the Mokelumne river.
A search of well logs conducted at the DWR on June 19, 1996, indicated that there are no private water
supply wells located within a 2,000-foot radius of the subject property. DWR records identified five
private water supply wells located between 2,000 feet and approximately 5,280 feet and 7,920 feet
northeast, east, and south of the subject property The closest private water supply well is estimated to
be located approximately 5,280 feet east of the subject property. Based on DWR records, the private
water supply wells located nearest to the subject property generally screened from depths ranging from
150 to 460 feet bsg However the private well, located approximately 5,280 feet to the east, was
screened from 52 to 72 feet bsg The status (active, inactive, or destroyed) of the private supply wells
is not Down
3.0 SUMMARY OF IIWSTIIGATIION RESULTS
3.1 Distribution of]Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Soil
In 1985, the initial soil borings were drilled, and three were completed as ground water monitoring wells
(MW-1, MW-8, and MW-9). Table 2 summarizes the results from this initial investigation MW-10
through MW-14 were installed between 1985 and 1987 No records are available from San Joaquin
County or Ultramar regarding these five wells
In 1987, monitoring wells MW-15 through MW-25 were installed Table 3 summarizes soil analytical
results
In January 1994, the four known USTs and the associated piping were excavated and removed
Confirmation soil samples were collected and analyzed from beneath the tanks, pump islands and product
Imes Concurrent with this removal, monitoring wells MW-2, MW-5 and MW-7, located east and
northeast of the former known tanks were destroyed Because these wells were dry, confirmation samples
were also collected and analyzed from their base A tabulation of these results are presented in Table 4
RPT001 915
