D093-915 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Delta Environmental Consultants,Inc (Delta),has been authorized by Ultramar Inc (Ultramar)to review <br /> remedial actions conducted at Beacon Station No 695, located at 900 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi, San <br /> Joaquin County, California, and to evaluate whether these remedial actions have reduced concentrations <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons in the subsurface to levels which would warrant regulatory closure of this site <br /> This report summarizes work conducted at the site and presents our findings Included in this report is <br /> a Tn Regional Appendix B including Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA) analysis indicating that <br /> current benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene (BTEX) levels meet the criteria established in <br /> the Tier 1 or Tier 2 analysis The analysis was conducted under guidance from the Standard Guide for <br /> Risk-Based Corrective Action Applied to Petroleum Release Sites (ASTM, 1995) and Tier 2 Guidance <br /> Manual for Risk-Based Corrective Action (Conner, et al , 1995) <br /> 2.0 PROJECT ]BACKGROUND E4FORMATION <br /> 2.1 Site Descrritntion <br /> The site is located along the east side of South Cherokee Lane, approximately one-half mile north of <br /> Kettleman Lane (State Highway 12) in Lodi, California (Figure 1) Cherokee Lane was formerly State <br /> Highway 99 prior to the highway's relocation approximately 900 feet to the east in the 1950's The site <br /> is surrounded by commercial businesses to the north, west, and south; and by a residential area to the <br /> east and northeast The site is bordered to the north by a swimming ing pool supply company, to the east <br /> by a residential area, to the south by a restaurant, and to the west by Cherokee Lane (Figure 2) <br /> The site is approximately 1 6 acres in size and the surface topography is flat and at an elevation of <br /> approximately 52 feet above mean sea level Current site improvements consist of the two-story station <br /> building with an attached auto repair shop, a large detached warehouse, fuel dispenser islands, two <br /> 20,000 gallon underground compartmental fuel storage tanks and associated piping The detached <br /> warehouse is currently being leased to a wholesale statuarnum business and automobile detailing shop <br /> i <br /> RPT001 915 <br />
