Ruvalcaba, Cesar
From: Ruvalcaba,Cesar
Sent: Wednesday,July 10,2019 2:17 PM
To: 'DPaul'; Mario Bermudez
Subject: RE: Maxim Crane-Stockton,CA- PR0523161
As a quick note,remember that the SPCC plan will need to be amended.The removal or addition of a tank fall under the
technical amendments and must be certified by a professional engineer.
The inspection frequency of 5 years would put the tank at a category 2 or 3 under STI SP-001 standards. If this is the
reason for the 5 year inspection frequency,other tests may be required. If there is a specific concern with the tanks it
should be addressed in the certified reports. If it is just a conservative testing schedule and the tanks are category 1,
then no additional testing would be required.
Or is the 5 year testing to comply with title 22 hazardous waste regulations?Some of the tanks fall under both,the
hazardous waste regulations and APSA regulations.
FREE classes presented by NES Inc. are available to all San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste, Underground Storage Tank,
and Aboveground Petroleum Storage Facility Business Owners and Operators. List and schedule of classes can be found
here.
Thank you,
Cesar Ruvalcaba
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Environmental Health Specialist
1868 East Hazelton Ave
Stockton,CA 95205
W (209)953-62131 A (209)464-0138 ® cruvalcabaCnlsiaov.ora
.. , SAN>JOAQUIN
't T'" —COUNTY—
''-° Grotn eu gro..c hers.
From: DPaul<spccorp@hotmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday,July 10,2019 12:11 PM
To: Mario Bermudez<mbermudez@maximcrane.com>; Ruvalcaba,Cesar<cruvalcaba@sjgov.org>; Dave Harris
<daveh @ donleepump.com>
Subject: Maxim Crane-Stockton,CA
Mario:
Your replacement tank located in Pleasant Grove, CA sounds like a good fit for the existing Stockton site. We
need to try and avoid a "double charge"for testing the replacement tank---
a)technically,the tank is supposed to be tested prior to shipping via DOT requirements (however, we may be
able to put a sufficient load of dry-ice in the primary vessel and ship it to Stockton, CA for the test)--;
b) Donlee Pump is cc'd in order to provide you a bid on removing the existing 12K tank and the
installation/plumbing of the new tank(how big is the Pleasant Grove tank?single wall vs doublewall?brand of
1
