this AST has electric pumps which operate on demand. Dispensers are GasBoy Model 9152A
CX with an Emco Wheaton Vapor Recover Nozzle and that during inspections, there was filling
ongoing and observed by this inspector. Fueling operations continued without any issues or
problems. During continuing fueling operations, the anti-siphon valves operated efficiently
without any issues and were found to be in good sound working condition. Additionally, these
entire fueling operations are contained in a fenced and secured yard with manned security
personnel on site.
Onan Cummins: Piping for the Onan Cummins Generator-Fuel Tank is entirely self contained,
with no piping exiting or entering the system from external sources. The fuel tank is part of the
base of this system, directly feeding the generator which sits on top of the steel skid which holds
the fuel tank. The entirety of the Oran Cummins fuel tank & generator appears to be entirely
within the confines of the system and thus are not subject to outside forces impacting the
operations of that system. The system is enclosed with locked doors for access to the fuel tank
and the generator, and no access to either without opening those locked doors. All of this system
sits within the concrete bene, and the only item which is external to any other equipment is the
electrical conduit for the generator to power equipment. The system is in a non-trafficked
location which would be unlikely to be contacted either by passersby or by inadvertent
equipment contact.
Valves:
The valves for the ASTs are determined to be in good operating condition.
Liquid Level Gauge:
ConVault Tank: The ConVault 6000 gal.
AST has a Morrison Bros Figure 818 liquid
level Clock Gauge which is mechanical float operated, installed for liquid level inspection
and overfill protection. The Morrison clock gauge could be replacediiai
with Morrison Bros 918 series level gauge,
which can be connected to electronic overfill
alarms. The Morrison Bros 818 clock was
inspected, actuated, and found to be in good
working operation. There was another
Morrison Bros. Clock gauge sitting on the top
of the tank, which was unconnected to any openings or other equipment. It was determined that
this "extra" Morrison Bros. clock was non-functional and had been replaced by the clock
currently operating on the top of the tank.
