(HETI),
dated May 8, 2001, that was written on your behalf. In the correspondence HETI
discusses site work that was performed in August 2000 which resulted in the generation
of several 55-gallon drums of soil drill cuttings. Soil samples collected were analyzed for
petroleum hydrocarbons. Results of the analyses were all non-detect. Therefore, HETI
requests on-site management of the soil cuttings by the Central California Traction
Company.
PHS/EHD approves this request.
