Tt consists of a complex
mi dwo of mostly unbranched paraffins(C'9 ` 7). Diesel fuel is a combustible liquid with
a flesh poitt of 110-190 which sho;a:d be considered to be a moderate fire hazard, WM1C
i
the inhalation toxicity of diesel oil is considerably lower than gasoline, the gasoline exposure
limit(TLV)will be used to control exposure to airborne diesel vapors in the absence of an
occupation standard for diesel vapor exposure. The airborne standard(TLV)for gasoline
1 is 300 FP11L
Under conditions where exposure may occur, mild eye, nose and throat irritation,
i headaches, nausea, drowsiness and dizziness may possibly occur. In open areas, ventilation
Is usually adequate to prevent prolonged breatltittg of high diesel vapor concentrations.
--'' Diesel he] Is a combusale liquid rdth a flash point as low as
be
taken to keep sources of ignition from coming uttoo cOn act with l IF. vapors-
must of
j( D Cr st l,e maim c I gasoline-apors_ Brio
4.2 Gasoline
i
MATERIAL.
