3.0 1FElYIIDffNCS
3.1 DISPOSAL OF PURGE WATER
Purge water from previous quarterly monitoring events and interim remediation activities
was hauled by Armour Petroleum Inc. for use in fire training activities at Solano Community
College. Documentation for hauling 1,110 gallons of water is included as Appendix A of
this report.
i
3.2 WELL RESEARCFI
ESE contacted the California Department of dater Resources (DWR) and requested
information on the onsite water supply wells. The DWR had a record of only one well at
the site drilled in 1954. Well construction information shows the well casing is 10 inches in
diameter unperforated to 120 feet depth From 120 to 129 feet, the well is encased
3.3 WELL BOX REPAIR
Two well boxes for wells SI-1 and SI-3 were repaired on November 4, 1993. The grout seal
was repaired on SI-3 and traffic rated well box and grout seals were repaired on SI-1.
3.4 GROUND WATER MONITORING
The ground water levels in wells SI-1, SI-2, SI-3 and UST-1 on November 4, 1993 were
approximately 82 feet below the top of casing No free product was observed ESE noted
that the interior of well UST 1 was clean and free of surface leakage. Table 1 - Ground
Water Monitoring Well Measurements tabulates water level measurements and elevation
calculations for these wells, and Figure 2 - Relative Ground Water Elevation November 4,
1993 shows these data in map view. Ground water flow direction in the northern portion
of the property appears to be toward the southeast. Ground water level in well UST-1 is
higher than in wells on the northern portion of the property Because of the close proximity
of well UST-1 to the water supply well, it is likely that ground water flows westward on this
portion of the site, however there is no supporting data.
F\6925400\4QTRGWM RPT 5 Environmental Science&Enguwmng,Inc
