The Draft Report was prepared
by HDR I e2M, on behalf of Defense Logistics Agency Enterprise Support San Joaquin,
California (DESJC) for the Defense Distribution Depot (DDJC) Tracy site.
The Draft Report presents the results of groundwater monitoring and sampling at the Tracy site
during the fourth quarter of 2008, and the first, second, and third quarters of 2009. Also, the
Draft Report presents comparisons of the sampling results with the monitoring well decision
logic flowchart and the extraction well decision logic flowchart established for the Tracy site.
Based on these comparisons, the Draft Report presents recommendations for sampling
frequency changes to be implemented in 2010.
HDRIe2M staff hosted a meeting on 4 February 2010 at their Folsom California office to
discuss and evaluate the Draft Report recommendations. Staff of DESJC, Central Valley
Water Board, and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control attended the
meeting. Staff of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency participated by telephone. During
the meeting, consensus was reached on the recommendations: Most of the recommendations
will be implemented as proposed in the Draft Report; some of the recommendations will not be
implemented in 2010. The consensus items have been summarized by HDR I e2 in a
document titled: Meeting Notes, attached.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 464-4675, or by email at
jbrowneil@wateeerrboards.ca.gov.
James R.
