The proposed modifications will affect the 1Q 10 field sampling event.
DESJC requested this meeting with the RPMs to discuss these recommendations. A
handout summarizing the sampling modifications was distributed to the RPMs prior
to this meeting to facilitate the review process.
• Meeting Summary—Modifications to the groundwater monitoring program were
based on specific wells having met the criteria in either the Extraction Well or
Monitoring Well Decision Logic Flowchart that determine the appropriate sampling
frequency. The modifications to the 2010 groundwater monitoring program as agreed
upon in the meeting of 4 February 2010 are.presented below.
a. EW003,EW014A, EW022A, EW029B, EW030C, LM004AU, LM040B,
LM092CC, LM095AU, and LM 167AU-Revised sample frequency to not
recommended for sampling.
b. EW009B—Restarted in November 2009 due to elevated rebound
concentrations. Sampling frequency revised from quarterly rebound
monitoring to semi-annual operating well sampling frequency.
c. EW021A— Scheduled for shutdown in 1Q10. Sampling frequency revised
from semi-annual operating well sampling frequency to quarterly rebound
monitoring.
d. LM029B and LM062AU—Revised sample frequency from yearly to twice
a year.
e. LM041 B—Revised from not sampled(as long as well LM040B is being
sampled)to sampled twice a year for VOCs for one year since well
