We have the following comments regarding
contracting procedures:
1) The Work Plan does not identify if the contractor to be
selected will have the proper training to perform work on a
hazardous waste site. It is recommended that DDRW, Tracy
insure that the selected contractor has the proper hazardous
waste training.
2) DDRW Tracy must insure that the laboratory selected has the
proper California accreditation to analyze hazardous waste.
3) It is unclear if the contractor will use a previously approved
health and safety plan or has to submit their own. This point
needs to be clarified. Additionally, DDRW, Tracy must build
time into the schedule for health and safety plan review.
pri nl e0 un flBCKIM paps
