Please provide a brief
discussion of the evaluation, if performed.
3. Table 5-1
It appears that the first column of soil analytical results
from Well 1 should be labelled as 1120 ft, " not as 11580-620
ft. "
There is a footnote labelled as " (b) " in the table, but it
does not refer to a specific depth interval . Was not the
sample of woody/tarry material taken from the depth interval
of 580 to 620 feet as discussed in Section 3 . 2 . 1. 1. 12?
Please clarify these issues.
4 . Table 5-3
According to this table and Table 3-1, the waste cuttings
from Well 1 (Drill Cuttings A and B) had the following
analyses performed on them:
TPH, Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP)
8080, TCLP 8150, TCLP 8240, TCLP 8270, TCLP Metals,
Waste Extraction Test (WET) Metals, pH, Total Dissolved
Solids (TDS) , Conductivity
According to the laboratory cover letter and listed
preparation and analysis dates, no such analyses were
performed for these samples. However, the laboratory
Summary, positive results from the analyses of the two
referenced samples including diesel , arsenic, barium,
chromium, cobalt, lead, nickel , vanadium, zinc,
conductivity, and TDS . The chains-of-custody sheets show
that all the analyses were ordered. Laboratory Quantitative
data sheets were included in Appendix D for only the TDS,
Conductivity and pH for these two samples. The Quality
Assurance data sheets were included for only the sample
designated as "Drill Cuttings B. " Please provide a complete
set of laboratory data sheets and provide a discussion of
the findings for diesel in these samples.
5. Appendix D, Section D.2 . 4. 2 . 1 Page D-3
According to the laboratory data sheets, the holding times
for TDS was exceeded in the analysis of a waste cuttings
sample from Well 1 (Drill Cutting B) .
