Well Monitoring Program
Quarterly report 42 due 12 November 1991 . DDRW-WB to send
WCC all its data on well/crop sampling at Raspo property .
The groundwater plume appears to be open at Banta Road . The
TCE hit ( 10 PPB) at LM 76 suggests contamination may reach
across Banta Road to local home owners -
DTSC/RWQCB and DDRW-WB to get together and gosamplelocal
drinking water wells for contaminants . RWQCB will run
samples through their lab ,
DDRW-WB to check with Mr . Raspo and see if he can provide
record of pesticides used on his land .
To insure no break in quarterly monitoring program, COE
needs guidance from RWQCB/DDRW-WB before February 1992 , in
order to insure award of contract in time .
WCC may propose placement of monitoring wells across Banta
Road to define plume . DDRW-WB definitely opposed to this
due to immense difficulty of obtaining land use/easement
with property owners/Corps of Engineers Sacramento .
DTSC and RWQCB expressed a desire for a full scale
flow/contaminant transport model in the Site Wide RI/FS .
COE stated RI/FS guidance does not require this and the
issue was dropped .
Interim Remediation Measure
Commenced on 4 October 1991 and is running on a daily basis
( 10 hour shifts) , but not continually . It was anticipated
everything to be debugged by 11 October 1991 . The week of
14 October 1991 , it should be running continually .
Ensotech redeveloped injection well 2 and it is now taking
more than wells 1 or 3 .
The equipment is running fine , but there are a lot of small
leaks in the piping . Ensotech has agreed to repair all
leaks .
The Ensotech report on the IRM System and February 1991
report delivery date was discussed .
DTSC and RWQCB request that the flow model and contaminant
model to be completed by the contractor be done by the
contractor who will be doing the RI/FS . This may present
more contracting problems which COE will have to solve .
2
