Regulatory <br /> agencies want separate reports on the Subsistence Warehouse <br /> and Building 201 soil remediation work. <br /> b Raspo Property Entry Agreement Update <br /> Priorities from EPA' s standpoint are ( 1 ) Make sure no one is <br /> drinking the contaminated water , (2) Make sure it does not <br /> go to the lower aquifer , and (3) What kind of water is being <br /> put on the crops . <br /> The priority is to eliminate the potential for any <br /> contaminant to move down to the lower aquifer ( item 2 <br /> e above) . <br /> �k <br /> At this time , DDRW-WB is awaiting the decision from DLA <br /> regarding the purchase/easement of the Raspo property . The <br /> Secretary of Defense will make the final decision . DDRW <br /> will keep the regulators abreast of changes . <br /> Well Monitoring/Crop Testing <br /> All three of Mr . Raspo ' s agricultural wells were sampled . <br /> There was a TCE/PCE hit on Well 2 . Samples were taken <br /> closest to the outfall of the pump and farthest away point <br /> from the pump outfall . In addition , samples were taken from <br /> _a the crops closest and farthest from the pump . The same was <br /> applied to the bean and alfalfa crops . All crop samples <br /> presented no evidence of contamination. The samples were <br /> taken at the request of Mr . Raspo . He was told that the <br /> crops were not contaminated . <br /> The modified 601 method was used to determine any PCE/TCE <br /> uptake . - Several labs were contacted and all recommended use <br /> of the 601 method. <br /> _a <br /> All crop samples had a matrix effect which questions the <br /> tests ' validity. DDRW-WB provided the regulators with <br /> information on this _ <br /> -? Well Monitoring for DDRW by DDRW-WB <br /> DDRW is presently monitoring groundwater monthly . WCC ' s <br /> information was used for the month of May , which was <br /> actually for May and June . Data represented measurements <br /> taken from the top of the casing to the water . DDRW <br /> aproposes putting the data on a quarterly report form and <br /> will note thoughts as to why fluctuations are occurring . <br /> TRC Committee <br /> iy <br /> 5 <br />
