RI/FS Report Review -6- 5 July 1991 <br /> DDRW, Tracy <br /> I am also concerned that the on-site area selected for the injection wells along the <br /> western border does not currently have sufficient hydrogeologic information to support <br /> the design of the wells to be installed at this location. The majority of the wells <br /> in this area are in the shallow horizon and there are no cross-sections across the <br /> southern portion of the site. The FS should have included the installation of a pilot <br /> hole(s) (or monitor wells if needed for other reasons) in this area as part of the <br /> analysis in order to obtain the hydrogeologic information needed to support the <br /> placement and design of the injection wells. <br /> CKW:cw <br />
