Monitoring requirements are established for three (3) different
phases of the proposed ground water cleanup system. The initial 8-hour potable
water startup phase, the Prove-out of System phase, and the full-scale
operational phase. In addition, monitoring requirements are established to
characterize the ground water during the first three months of full-scale
operation, and to determine background levels for inorganic constituents.
8-HOUR POTABLE WATER STARTUP PHASE MONITORING
The objectives of this phase are to determine if the system components are
operating correctly, that the system does not leak, and to determine the
injection capacity of the injection wells.
INJECTION WELLS MONITORING:
During the injection of potable water into injection wells IW-1 , IW-2 and IW-3,
the following monitoring program shall be conducted:
Type of Sampling
Constituents Units Sample Frequency
Total Volume of gallons Meter Hourly
Water Injected
Injection Rate at Time gpm Meter Hourly
of Sampling
Average Injection Rate gpm Meter Hourly
(last 1 hour)
Pressure at Time psig Meter Hourly
of Sampling
Water Level ft.
