CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 90-275 <br /> FOR <br /> DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION REGION WEST TRACY <br /> INTERIM GROUND WATER CLEANUP SYSTEM <br /> DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE <br /> AND ENSOTECH INC. <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The following Monitoring and Reporting Program contains the minimum monitoring <br /> and reporting requirements necessary to determine compliance with Order <br /> No. 90-275. Monitoring requirements are established for three (3) different <br /> phases of the proposed ground water cleanup system. The initial 8-hour potable <br /> water startup phase, the Prove-out of System phase, and the full-scale <br /> operational phase. In addition, monitoring requirements are established to <br /> characterize the ground water during the first three months of full-scale <br /> operation, and to determine background levels for inorganic constituents. <br /> 8-HOUR POTABLE WATER STARTUP PHASE MONITORING <br /> The objectives of this phase are to determine if the system components are <br /> operating correctly, that the system does not leak, and to determine the <br /> injection capacity of the injection wells. <br /> INJECTION WELLS MONITORING: <br /> During the injection of potable water into injection wells IW-1 , IW-2 and IW-3, <br /> the following monitoring program shall be conducted: <br /> Type of Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Sample Frequency <br /> Total Volume of gallons Meter Hourly <br /> Water Injected <br /> Injection Rate at Time gpm Meter Hourly <br /> of Sampling <br /> Average Injection Rate gpm Meter Hourly <br /> (last 1 hour) <br /> Pressure at Time psig Meter Hourly <br /> of Sampling <br /> Water Level ft. MSL Meter Continuous <br />
