J
Geotechnical Engineering Services BSK Proposal No. 04-20-0117
Proposed Soil Management Cell February 12, 1996
Tracy Army Depot Page 3
DDRW-Tracy, California
include in-situ moisture and density, consolidation-expansion, strength, gradation analyses, and
classification tests. Physical tests would be performed in accordance with the current ASTM Test
Methods. No chemical testing for environmental assessment purposes would be conducted for
this investigation.
2.3 Engineering and Report
Based on the results of our proposed field work and laboratory testing, we would perform
engineering analyses to evaluate soil parameters at the subject site and provide design
recommendations for site preparation procedures and foundation for the proposed cell. The
results of these analyses would be the basis for our conclusions and recommendations. These
would be summarized in a report containing the following:
► Site Plan with boring locations;
► Detailed logs of test borings;
► Results of laboratory tests;
► Site location and description;
► Surface and subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, if encountered;
► Site preparation procedures including excavation, grading, and cell foundation backfill
requirements;
► Import fill specification, if required;
► Allowable bearing pressures and seismic design consideration;
► Estimated settlements;
► Embankment stability;
► Lateral earth pressures and frictional coefficient;
► Recommendatior trench excavation and backfilling;
► Recommendationlbr construction observations and testi
