Dave & Mike:
My understanding is that any of the wells
on the former 'Reiter'property(which I
think was formerly owned by Laro Iron&
Coal and has been bought by PUH and
transferred to the City) or elsewhere that
are part of the monitoring well network
for the Waste Discharge Requirements for
the WRP-I plant are ultimately under the
responsibility of the City. The Pond 'D'
wells located on the former'Nurisso'
property were also referred to as 'Reiter'
property wells in the RWQCB permit, and
this is a potential source of confusion. It
is probably best to refer to the Reiter
wells as the'Pond F'wells and the
Nurisso wells as the'Pond D' wells.
However, these ponds will be renamed in
the new ROWD that is being submitted
the RWQCB on behalf of the City for the
5 year plan. When we get the new permit
we should switch to the new
nomenclature for these wells. However,
in the short term I think it would probably
help Mike to put all the wells under the
current wastewater permit's monitoring
well under one file for the City of Lathrop
WRP-1 Stage I expansion, and similarly
organize the Stage II expansion wells
under a separate file. Perhaps Dave could
help Mike sort out which wells belong to
each permit. The California Natural
Products or other'private'monitoring
wells that are not part of the network as
described in the City's approved
Monitoring Well Installation Workplan
are under the responsibility of that
owner/entity.
Gregory W.
