While the monitoring wells <br /> around the large oil tank may have shown the depth to groundwater at 8 to 9 feet below grade in <br /> January, these wells are approximately 600 away from the sump area. If the groundwater was <br /> that shallow in this area, it would be pouring into our basement which is another 12 feet below <br /> the sump surface level.
