22 July 2005 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 05-1282 <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br /> EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> Prior to use, all tools used for sample collection will be thoroughly rinsed with clean water after <br /> being washed with a solution of Alconox.All probing rods will be cleaned prior to advancement at <br /> each probe boring location. <br /> BORING ABANDONMENT <br /> All soil borings will be permanently sealed to prevent vertical migration of potential contaminants. <br /> Soil borings shall be abandoned by backfilling using a tremie pipe with a portland cement slurry <br /> from the total depth to surface grade. The SJCEHD will be notified for grout inspection at least 48 <br /> hours prior to conducting grouting procedures. <br /> REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and the results of the laboratory analyses. Conclusions, applicable recommendations, <br /> maps and cross-sections will be included in the report, as well as copies of the laboratory reports, <br /> testing methods,laboratory quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of <br /> custody documentation.
