A revised proposal was subsequently
submitted which was still considered deficient. Following our
response to the revised proposal, AEMC requested a meeting to
review our comments.
At the meeting we agreed that insufficient baseline information was
presented to grant a variance for this site. If the present tanks
are to continue in service, baseline data such as ground water
depth, ground water gradient, detailed piping diagrams and
operation, etc. , must be determined before a monitoring proposal
can be considered. Various options were discussed at the meeting
including abandonment and replacement of the existing tanks. It
was agreed that AEMC would pursue this matter further by visiting
the site and discussing the present site status with Gold Bond
personnel .
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5740.
GORDON LEE BOGGS
Underground Tank Program Coordinator
GLB/GSJ:gj
cc: Ts.
