Since it cannot be determined how long these wastes have been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of these wastes under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Four 55 gallon steel drums of used oil filters were observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no accumulation <br /> start date. Two of the drums were observed with unsealed lids. A disposal records for used oil filters was observed on <br /> site with a date of November 9, 2015. Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof <br /> container, labeled as"drained used oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately close these <br /> containers, mark the date, and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 707 HSC 25201.16(e) Failed to manage aerosol cans in a manner that prevents the unauthorized release of waste. <br /> Aerosol cans are being punctured, drained, and placed in the scrap metal bins for disposal. Universal waste handlers <br /> shall manage aerosol cans in a manner that prevents a fire, explosion, and the unauthorized release of any universal <br /> waste to the environment. Immediately stop puncturing of aerosol cans and manage according to Title 22 hazardous <br /> waste regulations.
