A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store,dispose of, <br /> transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC web <br /> site https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/to reactivate the ID number. Immediately <br /> reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> One 5 gallon bucket was left abandoned at the facility and contained an unknown material. Any person who <br /> generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste <br /> determination for the waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement <br /> and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> The used oil secondary containment was 3/4 filled with oily water. All facility communications or alarm systems,fire <br /> protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required,shall be tested and <br /> maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately empty the secondary <br /> containment and begin this practice. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> In the used oil storage area,one blue 55 gallon steel drum was missing the band clamp around the lid. <br /> In the main shop,three 1 gallon containers holding used oil were missing lids. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately <br /> close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> In the used oil storage area, four 55 gallon empty steel drums did not have empty labels. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied.
