Cherokee Ln. Lodi, CA 95240 Program: HW SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS CLASS I,CLASS 11,or MINOR-Notice to Com 809. Outside, west of the minimart, two boxes of Universal Waste(UW) lamps were left open, and were not labeled as universal waste lamps. The larger box had an accumulation start date of 3-22-12 and the facility did not demonstrate when the smaller box of lamps became a UW. The larger box of UW lamps have been on site longer than one year. A universal waste handler shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the universal waste was generated, or was received from another universal waste handler. A universal waste handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. The universal waste handler may make this demonstration by: (1) Placing the universal waste in a container and marking or labeling the container with the earliest date that any universal waste in the container became a waste or was received. (2) Marking or labeling the individual item of universal waste (e.g., each battery or thermostat) with the date it became a waste or was received; (3) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the date the universal waste being accumulated became a waste or was received,- (4) eceived;(4) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the earliest date that any universal waste in a group of items of universal waste or a group of containers of universal waste became a waste or was received; (5) Placing the universal waste in a specific accumulation area and marking or labeling the area to identify the earliest date that any universal waste in the area became a waste or was received; or (6) Any other method which clearly demonstrates the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. Continue to demonstrate when any universal waste lamps became a universal waste per Title 22 California Code of Regulations. During the inspection Steve Coulter transferred the UW lamps to Lowes for Lowes to consolidate and dispose of properly and documented this in the facility UW disposal log.
