The explosives-waste containers are selected to protect the explosive wastes from external
stimuli, contamination, and spilling during handling, transportation, and storage. The containers
are constructed of nonabsorbent materials compatible with the explosive contents.
Poly bags are used as primary containers for holding explosives-contaminated debris placed in
drums and for holding explosive filtration systems waste placed in tote boxes. No special
coatings are required for containers used for explosive waste.
I-2.3 RESPONSIBILITIES
This Contingency Plan utilizes the Incident Command System to coordinate activities of
personnel during an emergency at Site 300.
